How to use this tool
Choose Academic, Academic UKVI or Core. Select an English browser voice if one is listed, play the sentence and type what you heard before comparing it. Slow playback and replays are practice aids, not exam conditions.
Comparison ignores case and punctuation, checks word order, and lists missing or extra words. A changed word appears as both a missing original and an extra replacement. This is transparent word comparison, not an official Write from Dictation mark or a scaled Listening/Writing score.
Your work and browser support
Typed answers stay in this tab and are not saved automatically. Browser-generated speech can depend on an internet connection and available voice services.
Practice answers, notes and recordings are not sent to PTE Karo servers or analytics by these tools. Ordinary page requests and any configured site analytics still apply. Some browser voices use external voice services. Do not enter passport, account or payment details. See the privacy policy.
