No automatic saving. Each test/task keeps its own draft in this tab. “Save” stores that draft in this browser; export before clearing browser data. Word counts are whitespace-based estimates, not Pearson’s counter or a writing score.

How to use this tool

Choose Academic, Academic UKVI or Core, then choose the task. Read the original prompt, start the optional timer and write your own response. Pause and reset are learning aids, not exam functions.

Academic/UKVI: Write Essay uses 200–300 words and 20 minutes; Summarize Written Text uses one sentence of 5–75 words and 10 minutes. Core: Write Email follows the 80–120 word task instruction and 9 minutes; its summary uses 25–50 words and 10 minutes. The email form-credit bands in the score guide are not the same as the task instruction.

Your work and browser support

Drafts stay in this tab unless you explicitly save them on this device or download them. Switching tasks keeps separate session drafts; changing a prompt preserves the current text. A saved draft stores your response and its prompt, not a full attempt history.

Practice answers, notes and recordings are not sent to PTE Karo servers or analytics by these tools. Ordinary page requests and any configured site analytics still apply. Some browser voices use external voice services. Do not enter passport, account or payment details. See the privacy policy.
